Theatre Dance Intensive Workshop for Non-Dancers (8 Weeks)

8 Classes starting January 6th, 2014. Mondays 5:30-6:25pm

This workshop will really give you the tools you need to handle a dance rehearsal for musical theatre – even if you have two left feet! Our Broadway Dance Intensive Workshop is designed as an opportunity for ALL AGES. The instructor will cover numerous disciplines of dance with a musical theatre focus. Each day will include sessions focused on preparing non-dancers for musical theatre rehearsals. This dance intensive will provide actors and singers with a set of skills necessary to land a spot in an ensemble and improve on knowledge for those singers/actors who have not taken regular dance classes. If you can’t help but sing to the songs of Broadway and you want to be cast in musicals, this is the workshop for you to learn to dance!

Theatre Acting Workshop (8 Weeks)

8 Classes, Mondays 8:30-9:25pm

Dates: September 23, September 30, October 7, November 11, November 18, November 25, December 2, December 9 (2013)

This is a very special opportunity to participate in an intimate 8-week Acting Masterclass program. Working with an experienced director, you will develop a practical understanding of text and character, basic vocal and movement skills, and plenty of tips and techniques to keep you relaxed in audition scenarios. The masterclass will be looking at specific acting techniques and skills, drawing from practitioners such as Stanislavski and Meisner, to make scenes come alive, bring believable characters into being, and learn to create magical moments on stage as an actor.
